Management Project Software

where can i get the ideas for software projects? or can anybody suggest me a project which will be different?

i need this project for final year of computer management. but i don't want the traditional projects.. like sales, library, etc.... i need a new idea for project from which i can develop a different kind of software... i want to use .net(ASP or VB) as front end and any back end....

2. I would love to get my hands on a really good word processing program without paying for all the other crap that comes with it. I want it exclusively for writing and have no use for all the office add-ons. Microsoft Works has defficiencys including not being incompatable with professional printer programs, such as Staples, and when converted over there are errors. Also, it can't be set to automatically save work at specific intervals you have to do it manually and if you forget and have problems you can loose your work. If you develop something decent I'll be one of your first customers.

4. How about some kind of collaborative environment, where multiple people can work together on writing or creating something (technical paper, artwork etc) and chat together about it and undo each others' changes?
