What project management software is best for an advertising agency?

We need to manage projects, schedules, allocate resources and share the work with client. We don't need any of the fancy accounting staff.

1. You should distinguish between project management software and portfolio management software. If you just want project managers to be able to manage their own projects with limited oversight from management, then just pick up Microsoft Project - its decent and gets the job done. If you need fancier reporting, management dashboards that summarize all of the project activity in the company, resource allocation, budgeting, etc, then I'd recommend Hewlett Packard's Mercury Governance Center for this kind of portfolio management.
