i need ideas to do software project related to agricultural development?

i'm doing my msc.software systems and i've to do software project as part of curruculum so i thought doing a software project in the interest of agricultural development. so i need help on doing an agricultural project and ideas based on that.

1. Okie..I have one in my mind. Agriculture support system ----------------------------------------- this project will realize a dream of a world where the Agriculture productivity will be at maximum with the support of a IT solution which will collect all information related to land,crop,water and all resources required for best agriculture practice. - like entrepreneur manage his business using software which help him to manage any project,it will be software to manage farming like a project with maintaining information about resources, task to do,what is required for specific soil condition-environmental condition and manage all farming input well to get maximum production with optimum use of Fund available at particular farmer. - it will also gather information about best seed available at best price, Govt scheme for particular farmer type, best price and way to buy what is required at particular time to particular farmer, real time weather reports, current best price and way to get it for crop. - it will guide farmer to right/best practice for particular and specific situations automatically. How?: -finding the ways in which they may get help from a web based solution to increase their productivity. like: @ analysis of their land to find nature of soil, @ type of crop they should grow , @ making suggestion and consultancy to them for specific need. @help them to buy resources needed for his soil's specific need. @ help them to manage his whole farming process. @ inform him about new govt schemes,plans,real time whether reports,forecasts etc.. @ earn the best price for their crop, animal and rural products etc.., @ help in rural marketing and marketing of product crafted and created by rural people at best price. >> also guide me the process and detailed information about for: .AREA OF LAND .TYPE OF LAND/SOIL .GEOMETRIC LOCATION IN INDIA .IRRIGATION FACILITIES .AVERAGE RAIN DATA OF PREVIOUS YEARS. .ALTERNATIVE SOURCES FOR IRRIGATION. .INFORMATION ABOUT PAST PRODUCTION. .CROP GENERALLY GROWN ON particular LAND. .SOIL PH TEST. .Soil Texture Test .Organic Level Check .Soil Salinity .RAIN/ENVIRONMENT forecast. .INFORMATION ABOUT ALL AVAILABLE FARMING INSURANCE. .INFORMATION ABOUT ALL GOVT POLICIES AND FACILITIES. .ORGANIC FARMING OPTION >> i want to implement this whole idea as software which automate this whole process and work as farmer's digital assistance to guide him for best farming practice and help to get maximum production and profit out of available resources and fund to him. ?? Now for this i want to learn in details about process of farming in various part of India,soil type,crop type and their suitability with soil type, land data,current production details, all available technologies,improved seed type,fertilizes etc... so that i can design a system which can implement the whole process of farming in software and help farmers to get best production by managing all input to farming.
