How is project management software different from other types of application software?
This question was asked by one of my lecturers, but i am not able to answer clearly. Can anyone give any pointers or provide links to websites that might explain more clearly? Thanks a lot!

- Pm software is usually used to maintain the project. It can be used with other applications as well. Like MS Project. It can be interlaced with Outlook, Word, Excel the web and so on. The software itself allows you to monitor every aspect of your project i.e., people, time, money, charts, As the start date of project is working with your computer or server the project updates itself as far as time passing and things going off schedule. Hence, you need someone to constantly update the project. But if that is done properly, then it will allow anyone who has access to it to see up to the min/hour what have you, what is going on. You can go to MS site to download project for a trial version and look up under PMBOK for more info on project management.
